The younger your children start visiting us regularly, the better! It’s important to start them young so they understand the importance of maintaining a healthy oral hygiene routine. It’s also best we detect issues and deal with them as early as possible in order to prevent further decay or damage. We always recommend bringing your child to their first appointment before their first birthday. By the age of three, your child is already at risk of having cavities once you begin adding more things to their diet, so scheduling regular check-ups by age one can highly reduce their risk of early signs of tooth decay or loss of primary teeth.
